Chromobox protein homolog 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CBX5 gene.[1][2]

Heterochromatin protein-1 (HP1) is a methyl-lysine binding protein localized at heterochromatin sites, where it mediates gene silencing.[supplied by OMIM][2]
